KultureCity® is the world’s leading nonprofit for sensory accessibility and inclusion for those with sensory needs and invisible disabilities.

Join us for the second PRG KultureCity Birmingham Race on November 22, 2025 in Birmingham, Alabama. This event features a 5K and a 13.1 distance, supporting KultureCity's mission for sensory accessibility.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, the PRG KultureCity Birmingham Race promises a memorable experience. With Birmingham's vibrant cityscape as a backdrop, runners will enjoy a well-organized event with plenty of support and cheer along the route. This is a sensory inclusive event, and support will be onsite for anyone who needs it!

We will have cheer stations along the race route! This is a vibrant spot where volunteers and spectators gather to motivate runners with signs, noisemakers, and cheers. It’s easy and rewarding to start one—just gather some friends, bring your enthusiasm, and help give runners the extra push they need to reach the finish line! Stay hydrated and keep runners going strong with our water stations along the race route! Volunteers at these stations will provide water and electrolytes to help participants power through to the finish line. It's easy to set up—gather a group, prepare to hand out cups with smiles, and make a big difference in their race day experience. The half marathon will start at 7 am followed by the 5K at 7:30 am, and the 1 mile fun run at 9 am.

Yes, both the 13.1 miles and 5K Race are USATF Certified (AL 24024JE).

Yes, both the 13.1 miles and 5K Race will be chipped time.

All race entries are non-refundable.

Water and Powerade will be served at miles 1.5/7.5, 3.5/9.5, and 6/12.

Bathrooms and Portalets will be available at the start, finish and at mile 6.

If possible, we encourage runners to pick up their bibs before race day. However, for those who need to, they can do packet pickup from 6-640 am.
There will also be an opportunity to do race day registration.

We do not recommend using headphones but we leave it up to the athlete on his/ her ability to follow directions and hear the surrounding noises while wearing headphone devices.

There is ample street parking around Railroad Park.

Yes, there will be finisher medals for the 5K and half marathon.

Yes, bag check will be at the Pavilion at Railroad Park.

Runners will get a shirt that is rated UPF50 to help combat harmful UV rays. This tee also performs with Dry Zone ® moisture-wicking technology to keep you cool, dry and comfortable!

After you race your 5K and 13.1 miles, celebrate your accomplishments with us! We will have a post race celebration, a backyard BBQ hosted by Pihakis Restaurant Group with Rodney Scott’s BBQ! Enjoy amazing food and music together with your friends and family!

Yes, bag check will be located at the pavilion. You may use any bag you'd like as long as it is clearly identifiable with your name written on it.

Awards will start around 9:30am.
